The Kaaimans is a narrow, continuous river, easily accessible from George. It is a short river, its source being only 20km from the sea. Catch this one just after good rains.

There are many chutes and drops to negotiate, and log strainers appear from time to time. The rocks are harsh on a boat, and a short creekboat will be better suited for this river, rather than a playboat. Look out for a big siphon between boulders, around halfway; it must be portaged.
